School Uniform

At Wheatley Lane, we have a uniform that helps everyone to identify as part of our school team and encourages prides in our school.

Reception, Y1 and Y2

Our youngest children wear a more casual uniform that allows them to participate in active play which is crucial for their development.

Pale blue polo shirt (with or without the school logo)

Navy joggers/leggings/shorts

Navy hoodie or sweatshirt (with or without the school logo)

Blue and white gingham dress (can be worn in the Summer)

Dark coloured trainers (with velcro if unable to tie laces)

A school book bag (available from Moonline)

Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6

Our junior children wear a more formal uniform.                        PE Kit

School tie (Y6 have a different tie)                                           Navy hoodie/fleece (logo optional)

Charcoal grey cardigan/v-neck jumper                                    Navy shorts/leggings/joggers

Black shoes (must not be slip-on or heeled)

In addition to our uniform, our expectations for all pupils are:

• Long hair must be tied back with a hairband/elastic in school colours. No accessories such as bows are allowed
• No nail varnish
• No jewellery including earrings
• No extreme haircuts such as tramlines or colours

The majority of our uniform can be purchased from high street stores and supermarkets. 

Our ties and any items with the school logo are available from Moonline Uniforms in Burnley.

The Friends of Wheatley Lane have a selection of second hand items which are available in school for a voluntary donation. Please speak to Nicola in the office.
