Our Methodist Church Family
As the only voluntary aided Methodist Primary School left in the country we are delighted to be part of the Burnley and Pendle Methodist Circuit. We have links with the 16 churches in our circuit.
Foundation Governors are appointed by the circuit and we are blessed by people willing to take on this huge responsibility from Churches across the circuit.
The Circuit Superintendent, Rev Rick Ormerod serves on our Governing Body. He lives in Fence. Rev Rick took up apppointment on 1st September 2021 and we look forward to welcoming him in school.
Our School Chaplain is Pastor Richard Hoyle.
Our pastoral assistant is Mrs Stella Brassington.

Wheatley Lane Methodist Church
Since the school opened in 1869 we have had mutually supportive links with “the church next door”. Due to its proximity to the school we are blessed with a wealth of volunteers from Wheatley Lane Methodist Church who give their time and their talents to support us. We love that they feed us with delicious cakes and give us practical support as well as accompanying us on our spiritual journey.
